Not much change this week in the RGV. The majority of the Valley remains drought free except portions of northern Hidalgo and Willacy Counties where Abnormally Dry and now Moderate Drought conditions have taken root.
Meanwhile, the combined level of Falcon and Amistad Reservoirs remain at just above 30 percent of capacity. Unless a significant amount of rain begins to replenish our watershed soon, we could find ourselves under mandatory water conservation
restrictions once again.
