The Internal Affairs Division can be reached at 956-361-3880. When you contact the office, an Internal Affairs Detective will explain the proper procedures in filing a complaint. The Internal Affairs Division office is located at San Benito Police headquarters. Their hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Complaints can also be prepared by downloading a form by clicking the COMPLAINT FORM PDF tab on the left side of this page and dropping it off with the Internal Affairs Division, any supervisor of the department or within the lock box located within in the police department lobby area. Be sure to leave correct and up to date information on the Complaint Referral form so an an Internal Affairs Division Detective can follow up with you.
If a complaint is to be filed in person, you will need to bring your official photo ID with you in order to provide a sworn statement concerning your complaint.
